They haven’t even taken their first snap in an NFL game and, Mac Jones and Justin Fields are already more popular than most of their fellow players. It’s been revealed, the rookies have two of the top five selling jerseys in the NFL already.
Fanatics, an apparel partner with the NFL has revealed that Jones and Fields have the second and fourth highest selling jerseys on record since August 1. But it’s all the more impressive when you consider the pretty exclusive company both are in. Bills QB Josh Allen boasts the No. 1 selling jersey while Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes rounds out the list at No. 5.
But what’s really crazy? Mac Jones has the second highest selling jersey while, Tom Brady, fresh off his seventh Super Bowl win, only has the third. Jones won the Patriots starting job over Cam Newton but, let’s be honest, it’s he who’s been anointed the heir apparent to Brady in New England. Dude hasn’t won his first game and, he’s moving more units than the winningest QB in NFL history. Ain’t that somethin! Dunno if Brady is keeping score but, you can bet that’ll be that little extra motivation he needs when the Bucs travel to New England in Week 4. Jones better buckle up!
