There’s A Romaine Lettuce Recall

As reported by the FDA, Tanimura & Antle, Inc. is voluntarily recalling its packaged single head romaine lettuce which is sold under the Tanimura & Antle brand due to possible contamination with E. coli. It’s labeled with a packed date of 10/15/2020 or 10/16/2020 and the associated UPC number is 0-27918-20314-9. The good news? No illnesses have been associated with the product.

A total of 3,396 cartons were distributed to the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, California, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, Washington and the territory of Puerto Rico.

This condition can lead to serious kidney damage and even death – especially in kids and the elderly. So check your salad fixins, don’t eat it…and if you’re experiencing any stomach issues after eating it, call your doctor.
