4 THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW YESTERDAY

  • If you drove at 70 mph, it would take 19 weeks, 5 days to drive to the moon.
  • There are an estimated 20 quadrillion ants on earth.
  • If you sum up the total length of hair a man’s face continuously produces over 50–60 years of shaving, the combined output would be 25 to 30 feet.
  • Humans may experience several dreams per night — potentially around 1,460 or more per year.

10:45-A BIBLICAL JOYRIDE: WHEN FAITH MEETS MUSTARD I found this wild story recently — from April 15, 1980! Three sisters from Lansing, Michigan made headlines after they stripped naked, covered themselves in mustard and mayonnaise, and stole a UPS delivery truck for a joyride through their neighborhood. Doshaline McCuin, 30, Charlene Roper, 27, and Sandra Lewis, 26, claimed they were “filled with the Holy Spirit” after reading the Bible and believed they needed to return to the Garden of Eden. McCuin explained that the mustard came from a passage in Matthew 13 about mustard seeds, though she admitted taking the truck was simply “a spur-of-the-moment thing.” Police found the women being chased by a uniformed truck driver after receiving reports of three naked women running around outside. Despite initially pleading innocent and their defense attorney arguing they were seized by religious frenzy, a jury found them guilty of indecent exposure and joyriding.

1115a-COST-FREE WAY MOST ANYONE CAN DRASTICALLY IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THEIR LIFE

Someone asked on social media: What’s a cost-free way most anyone can drastically improve the quality of their life.

  • Walk 3 to 4 miles outdoors every day, no matter the weather. Walk briskly, don’t run. It’s not only good for your heart, lungs, etc. but great for brain health.
  • Consciously and actively practice gratitude for things you already have.
  • Hug your children and pets a lot.
  • Smile at people and say hello. Even if only to spite them.
  • Agree with people, don’t waste energy fighting.
  • Do something with your hands, even if it’s just playing with Play-Doh.

1145a-SIGNS OF INTELLIGENCE

How do you know if you’re dealing with a highly intelligent person? Research finds that highly intelligent people are more likely to be trusting, straightforward and willing to help others.

115p-THIN FACE NOTICING

How much weight do you have to lose before it shows up on your face? Research reveals that a woman has to lose 14 pounds before people notice her face is slimmer. For men it’s around 18 pounds.

145p-HOT WEATHER BRAIN

Hot weather makes you stupid and grumpy. Losing just two percent of your body weight through sweat can mess with your mind and mood. Dehydration equals grumpiness and spacey thinking, while high temps can hurt your decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

215p-MOST-USED MUSIC NAMES

Studies from the past two decades reveal that “John” and “Johnny” top the list for most-used male names in song titles. In terms of female names in songs, one stands out above the rest: Mary.

245p-BRAINY VITAMIN

Make sure you drink your orange juice. Your brain will thank you. The latest research shows that adults with a higher vitamin C intake are more likely to have stronger brain network connections and healthier brain structure.

315p-GOLDFISH MYTH

“You have the memory of a goldfish!” is not the insult it used to be. It is not true that goldfish have a memory that lasts three seconds. This myth has survived for years despite being thoroughly disproven. Goldfish can remember information for months and are capable of learning simple tasks and routines.

345p-ROSTER DATING

Heard of “roster dating?” Basically, roster dating involves dating multiple people at the same time – though one expert recommends keeping it to “five or fewer”. In theory, each of the people on your roster meets a specific need, like “the exciting one” or “the artistic one”. It allows you to learn about yourself, and what you like and don’t like in a relationship. It also prevents you from pouring all of your energy into one connection before you know if it’s promising or not.

415p-ILLUSION OF TRUTH

Repeat a lie often enough and people believe it. Scientists found that people are more likely to believe something, the more often it is repeated to them. With repetition, it is easier for the human mind to process a false statement compared to a true statement that has not been repeated over-and-over again.

445P- 3 QUICK THINGS YOU PROBABLY DIDN’T KNOW BEFORE I GO

1-Sixty-seven percent of women complain that they have to clean the sink after their mate shaves.

2-On average, women need 52 more minutes of sleep per day than men.

3-Feeling down? Grab an orange. You don’t have to eat it, just peel it. As you peel the orange, drops of fragrant mood-boosting essential oils are released into the air.
